Over 300 moving figurines (antiques and contemporary), historical scenes of life in La Rochelle and animated displays will fascinate old and young.
This unique museum, which 800m² of display space, welcomes the visitor to its own fantasy world: historic scenes, model railways, reconstitution of a naval battle, and a sound and light show which tells the naval history of the town.
In a display space of 2500m², the visitor is invited on a voyage of discovery. The collections assembled here originate from all over the world and have been donated by natural historians, ethnographers, adventurers and private collectors.

On the second floor, overlooking the Seagoing Yacht Basin, you will find the "Café de l'Aquarium". You may go there to enjoy the view and the culinary delights after your visit or even without visiting the aquarium at all. The decoration is tropical and you will find organic produce on the menu, beside more traditional French fare.
