The Colloquium will take place at Moulin d'Andé (https://moulinande.com/), Andé (Eure, Normandie, France).
Located on a branch of the Seine river between Paris and Rouen, and dating back to the late 12th century, the mill"Moulin d'Andé" is a true treasure, listed as a historical monument. With its original mechanism, it is also the last remaining example of a "hanging mill" on the Seine.Together with the old outbuildings, it offers a superb example of Norman architecture with half-timberingcombining wattle and daub.
In 1956, Suzanne Lipinska moved to the Moulin and decided to make it a space dedicated to artistic creation, hosting music and shows. Inspired by the unique atmosphere and creative emulation that reigns there, young filmmakers of the French New Wave wrote and shot their first films there, including François Truffaut who shot sequences of "The 400 Blows" and "Jules and Jim" there.
